1) Overview of Pressed Wire Rope Slings
Pressed wire rope slings are manufactured using wire ropes as raw materials, processed through pressing machines. They are primarily utilized for lifting, towing, tensioning, and load-bearing purposes. Pressed wire rope slings are characterized by high strength, light weight, smooth operation, and resistance to sudden and complete breakage. They find extensive applications in industries such as steel, chemical, transportation, ports, and construction.
2) Classification of Pressed Wire Rope Slings
Pressed wire rope slings can be classified based on the following two processing methods:
1.Forming one or both ends of the wire rope into circular loops through pressing.
2.According to requirements, they can be made into single-leg, double-leg, triple-leg, quadruple-leg, or multi-leg slings.
3) Usage of Pressed Wire Rope Slings
1.In workplaces with damp or outdoor environments, galvanized wire ropes can be used as raw materials to enhance rust resistance.
2.Apart from the wear of the outer layer of wire ropes, the main cause of gradual breakage is metal fatigue due to repeated bending when passing through hooks or lifting objects. Therefore, the ratio of hook or lifted object diameter to the diameter of the pressed wire rope is an important factor determining the service life of pressed wire rope slings.
3.Pressed wire rope slings are primarily used in lifting and pulling operations requiring high-strength wire ropes. During use, standing under the lifted load or passing over objects is strictly prohibited.
